Q. Who is Pilates suitable for??
A. Pilates is for those looking to get in shape, rehabilitate an injury or reduce chronic pain, train for an athletic competition, improve sports skills, or just wanting a new challenge. In the words of Joseph Pilates: "Physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness. In order to achieve happiness, it is imperative to gain mastery of your body. If at the age of 30 you are stiff and out of shape, you are old. If at 60 you are supple and strong then you are young."
Q. How often should I do Pilates??
A. We recommend at least 2 to 3 classes/lessons per week--especially when you first start. The more often you do Pilates the faster you will learn. Our staff will help you make a plan that will assist you in reaching your goals, as well as fitting in your time and budget.
Q. What should I wear??
A. Any comfortable, stretchy fitness clothing is great. We like comfortable, but nothing too loose and baggy. We need to be able to see your body clearly to make sure that you are working correctly. Shoes not required; socks are optional.
